So its now cool to think ‘Green’

Sunday, May 23rd, 2010

RWN has been promoting energy lighting and environmentally friendly soultions for a few years now and we have found responses muted to say the least. Intresting that as the world is now in the depths of economic crisis and slow down individuals and corporates are now wising up to how they can save money.

So  we  have those who think smart, think green to save the planet and we have those who think smart, think energy saving, think money in the pocket  -   Happily end result is saving the planet as much as we are able.

Which every catagory you fall into you, you can help sustainability, make a differnce and create a  world  that is safe for the next generation.

Thought for today on Sustainable lighting…

Consider that sustainable lighting meets the needs of the present with out compromising the needs of the future….

LED lighting is not the cheapest lighting product on the market but in the long run you will benefit from environmental, economic, health and community benefits. Return on investement – payback on average size home can take as little as 14 month

Why should we be concerned about sustainability?

  1. RWN are committed to helping companies reduce their carbon foot print and energy consumption. This can be achieved but taking minor steps such as changing from traditional lamps to more efficient LED, reducing the wattage,
  2. Lighting represents 22% of the electricity used in The Middle East, this is much higher than any where else in the world.
  3. Lighting represents 15% of the energy bills in most homes
  4. and around 25% of the energy bill in a commercial building
