Working with F M Companies is helping promote Energy lighting
Saturday, February 27th, 2010Working with the Facilities companies has allowed us to show developers about the latest technology, in particular regarding smart home automation. Using the wireless switches and remote controls to manage the energy out put clients have seen reduction in power consumption down between 10% and 25%. We have been having a lot of interest in Zity Smart Lighting Technology particularly since the UAE government have had a drive to encourage everyone locally to think about saving energy whether in their homes or workplace.
For us working with these companies we are able to put these measures in place from the onset and that is naturally a positive thing to be helping the environment. With FM support we are able to show clients that energy solutions are simple to use and most importantly cost effective as well.
LED lighting is very much the trend at then moment, rightfully so. LED may be higher price bracket but the reality is that lighting effects are extremely desirable and the products life span is excellent , dispelling the negativity of the luminaire. As little as five years ago the expected rate of a 2x 26w compact fluorescent downlight was 10,000 hours, we are now looking at an improvement to nearer 33,000 hours with energy saving efficiency being around 35% .

Gitex trade show supported by UK trade and Investment Advisors
Saturday, February 27th, 2010RWN were so pleased with the pre arranged meeting system (PAM) at GITEX that they would have told Gordon Brown and Lord Mandleson what “a worthwhile investment” it is “on behalf of the government”, when they last visited the UAE with the British Trade Delegation.
Andrew Prince, Managing Director says “‘”We certainly will get business from the meetings arranged through the PAM system. It is excellent.”
Carol Prince, Marketing Director explains, “Ours is a complicated company, which falls into two halves – one is software solutions, the other is trading and home automation. With so may different products, it is not easy to explain what we do – but the PAM staff did. We hope soon to sign contracts with a local Abu Dhabi company which are potentially worth between two and three million pounds sterling.”
RWN Trading business takes a lot of negotiating, but as a result of the work of the PAM team, they were introduced to representatives of the UAE armed forces. Andrew continues, “…it will take us three months to get on the preferred suppliers list, but it could lead to multi million sales”.
They also met executives from a large property development company which they are confident will lead to more business.
An additional bonus was that they signed up three systems integrators in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Abu Dhabi- something they had not expected to be able to do.
Carol summarises, “We attend many trade fairs and do our homework in advance but the help and support we found through PAM was superlative.”
